Lower School Campus
Linder’s Lower and Middle School campus located on the corner of S. Washington and Gibbons St. in Old Town is designed for hands-on, personalized learning. With small classes, breakout spaces, and on-site therapy services, every child gets the support they need. From cooking in the teaching kitchen to caring for animals in the life lab, students learn by doing—in a calm, creative space where they’re truly seen.
Small classes ideal for
one-on-one attention
With 13 classrooms, and just as many conference rooms and breakout spaces, we are able to commit to small class sizes, personalized attention, and tailored instruction in an intimate setting.
Dedicated spaces for OT, PT, and SLP
We partner with licensed, background-checked professionals to provide occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and speech-language pathology (SLP) services on-site during the school day. Our dedicated therapy rooms are welcoming, thoughtfully designed spaces that minimize disruption to students’ routines while providing access to essential services.
Whether through pull-out sessions for focused one-on-one support or push-in services that integrate seamlessly into the classroom setting, we ensure that every child receives the individualized care they need to thrive.
Hands-on learning spaces
Our campus features spaces built for real-world, tactile, and project-based learning. Students explore and create in:
STEM design lab where they build, tinker, and conduct experiments
Life lab that’s home to a number of small animals—perfect for reducing anxiety, learning care routines, and incorporating real animal life into biology lessons
A state-of-the-art teaching kitchen that supports science, math, and life skills through hands-on cooking
Manipulatives in each classroom to support lessons
These environments make learning feel real and relevant—especially for students who thrive when they can move, build, and explore with their hands.
Cultivating a love of reading
Linder’s K–8 library is a launchpad for imagination, exploration, and a lifelong love of reading. Thoughtfully curated for all levels, from early readers to advanced learners, our collection is rich with high-interest titles that captivate and challenge.
What makes it truly special is Ms. Jennie—our beloved librarian—who gets to know each child and offers personalized book recommendations tailored to their interests, reading level, and learning goals. Whether students are curled up with a favorite story, diving into a research project, or gathering for a read-aloud, the library is a warm, welcoming space where curiosity abounds, and every reader is supported, and inspired.
Urban playground, designed for creativity
Linder’s lower school playground may be compact, but it’s designed to inspire big imagination. With a Scandinavian approach to play, every element encourages open-ended exploration, movement, and creativity. Students climb, balance, and build their own games using structures that invite curiosity and problem-solving.
This intentional design makes the most of our urban space—proving that with the right setup, small spaces can spark endless adventure.
