Exciting News for Our Community
We have achieved Candidacy status!
Linder Academy has officially completed its Middle States Association (MSA) self-study, followed by an in-depth visitation that included classroom observations and a comprehensive review by the Middle States evaluation team. We are excited to report that the visiting committee has recommended The Linder Academy for the highest level of accreditation: Full Accreditation.
Even more exciting, the committee recommended no stipulations, conditions, or monitoring, a distinction that speaks volumes about the strength of our program and the work happening every day across our school.
The Middle States committee also highlighted three specific areas of commendation, noting that The Linder Academy truly stands out—even among other accredited schools:
A deep commitment to academic and social-emotional best practices, implemented with strong fidelity and grounded in scientifically based research.
An impressive level of flexibility in meeting students’ academic and social-emotional needs, from skill-based cohorting to thoughtfully using both lower and upper school settings to best support individual learners.
A highly skilled and effective administrative team, recognized for exceptional leadership, expertise, and organizational strength.
Middle States Association is one of the most respected and internationally recognized accrediting organizations, and its commission meets twice each year (April and November) to vote on committee recommendations. Based on this timeline, we expect Linder Academy’s full Middle States accreditation to be officially active in April of this year.
At the same time, Linder Academy will also hold accreditation through the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE). Being accredited by both Middle States and VCPE is a meaningful mark of excellence and places Linder Academy among a select group of schools meeting the highest national and state standards.

This recognition affirms our mission and reinforces our commitment to meeting students where they are and helping them thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
