Laurieann Pennington has been an upper elementary educator at The Linder Academy since the opening of the Old Town campus in 2021. With 24 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge in classroom instruction, curriculum development, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities and medically fragile conditions. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to grow academically and personally.
Laurieann boasts specialized training in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Orton-Gillingham, and cooperative learning strategies. She emphasizes communication, collaboration, and emotional intelligence in her teaching.
She believes that education should prioritize process over the product, encouraging students to think critically, develop self-advocacy skills, and embrace learning as a lifelong journey. Her classroom fosters creativity, problem-solving, and a strong sense of community.
