McKenzie Johnson been a dedicated lower school teacher at Linder since 2021. With a background in human services and psychology from Old Dominion University, she brings a strong understanding of child development and individualized learning strategies.
McKenzie’s teaching methods utilize a multimodal approach, meaning hands-on activities, visual aids, and interactive discussion to engage students and support their diverse learning needs.
Trained in Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus, McKenzie specializes in structured literacy instruction tailored for neurodiverse learners. She’s passionate about building a classroom culture where curiosity thrives, and every child feels seen, supported, and confident in their learning journey.
Outside the classroom, McKenzie enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her pets.
