Alison Guzman

Ms. Alison received her degree in Biomedical Science from Old Dominion University. During college, she had the opportunity to work as both a gymnastics coach and a long-term substitute teacher for Norfolk Public Schools. Both experiences allowed her to discover how much she enjoyed working with students, helping them learn, and building relationships with them. It wasn’t until after she graduated and began working in the medical industry that she truly realized teaching was her passion—sometimes you just don’t know what you have until it’s gone!

In 2025, Alison followed that passion and began her journey at The Linder Academy. She is excited to continue growing as an educator and to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable being themselves. She believes that every student learns differently, and she enjoys getting to know her students and finding ways to help them recognize their strengths and reach their potential.

Her goal is not only to help students grow academically but also develop confidence, curiosity, independence, and a love of learning that they can carry with them beyond the classroom.
