Art Teacher & Aftercare Coordinator

Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown is Linder’s art teacher, offering guidance and instruction to students at both the Lower and Upper Schools. At the Lower School, all students enjoy weekly blocks with Jess, creating pieces in a variety of media and developing their talents and their confidence. At the Upper School, Jess offers both introductory art and advanced drawing electives for students grades 7 and above. Jess displays student art in public spaces on both campuses, so that the entire school community can experience the beauty and value of a robust art program.

Jess is also the aftercare coordinator at The Linder Academy, where she creates a welcoming space for students to relax, explore, and engage in hands-on activities after the school day. With a Master’s in Education from the University of Maryland, Bachelor’s degree in studio art, and training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Jess builds a creative and fun aftercare environment tailored to neurodiverse learners.

Outside of school, Jess enjoys creating art and attending Washington Spirit games. She draws inspiration from both to design playful, dynamic experiences for her students.
